Open to all age groups, from 5 years of age to under 18 in the Youth Section and upwards from 18 years of age in the Adult Section.

There are a wide range of classes, from Oils and Watercolours through to Etchings and Calligraphy, with new classes being added from time to time according to demand.

The Crafts section covers a much more diverse range of skills with such classes as Ceramics and Pottery, Glass Art, China Painting, Woodcarving, Woodturning and General Woodcraft to name but a few.

Trophies are awarded by the Adjudicators each year for outstanding achievements, four for the Art Section, five for Crafts and another for a given Theme, which entrants may wish to enter their work in.

Generally, entries can be on any subject but some entrants prefer the extra challenge of working on the particular Theme chosen by the Committee each year.

Our adjudicators are usually from the UK and are highly regarded in their field. Adjudicating these sections is an unenviable task, especially when it involves judging such a wide variety of skills, but they accomplish this well - as their broad knowledge of the subject has shown.

The Arts & Crafts Section Committee work well as a team to make sure everything runs smoothly and give of their time during the Exhibition by stewarding etc. We would welcome anyone who may be interested in joining us either as a Steward or Committee Member. Our Secretary, Mrs Judy Gardener would be happy to talk to you - tel: 743383 for further details.
